Donations to the Bright, Indiana Community.

The Bright Aerea Business Association has been extremely busy in 2014! In May we conducted the Golf Outing and in the Summer we created a booth at the Bright Community Festival. These events serve 2 purposes. Members build relationships by working together to meet our goals. Volunteerism can be work, but we try and make it as fun as possible. This resulted in more volunteers and donations this year. Over $10,000 was donated to our 3 non-profits. The Bright Fire Dept & EMS is important to every business and homeowner in the area. Since Bright is an unincorporated area, the department receives less Government funding. Several years ago BABA members determined that Bright Fire & EMS should be our primary recipient. We were extremely excited to present them a “Big Check” of $8716. Thank you for keeping our homes and businesses safe! “I just wanted to drop a note of thanks for the support that the Bright Area Business Association has provided to the Bright Volunteer Fire Company. For the last several years, your organization has been able to support us through the golf outing and work at the annual Bright Community Festival. We have seen real growth in your efforts to financially contribute to help provide Fire and Emergency Medical services to our community. As a volunteer member of the department, I can’t tell you how much it encourages me the see business leaders in the community come along side us to help meet the needs of our department. So once again, thanks so much for what you do. It really does matter.” Greg Mathena, Assistant Chief, Bright...

2013 Fundraisers

The Bright Area Business Association is a “Give Back” organization.  We help support the local community.  Our two major fund raisers each year are the Annual Golf Tournament and our own booth at the Bright Community Festival. Both events were very successful again this year. The Golf Tournament was held at Hidden Valley Golf Club in May. The net proceed from the tournament was $5,500 and we raised $3,600 at the Bright Community Festival in July from the raffle of gift baskets in our booth. Our “Give Back” 2013 contributions were $7,000 to the Bright Volunteer Fire Department & EMT along with $1,260 to Hands and Feet Ministry, Inc. and $500 to the North Dearborn Food Pantry. Hands and Feet Ministry, Inc. helps those who are either struggling in addiction or recovering from an addiction.  Hands and Feet Ministry, Inc. operates The Gathering Place which is located at 1932 Jamison Road. We are planning already and looking forward to great success in 2014 with our fundraising. The 2014 Golf Tournament will be again at Hidden Valley Golf Club on Monday, May 19, 2014 and the Bright Community Festival is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 25 & 26, 2014.   Thanks to Merchants Bank and The Beacon for sponsoring our 2014 event! The festival is held at the Bright Firehouse #1 located at 23759 Brightwood Drive, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025.   Mark your calendars for these two fun events. Thanks to all who donated time, money and resources to help our community through these...
