June meeting

The Bright Area Business Association June meeting was held at Bright 4 Seasons and it was a beautiful evening! Thanks to Mike Armbruster for providing the location and the dinner! It was a lot of fun and great to see new faces. It was mainly a social event to get to know each other better, but we had a short business meeting covering the Golf Outing and Festival.  Formal minutes were not taken, so this is a summary of the meeting. The Golf Fundraiser was a huge success and it was voted / approved to donate $4000 to the Bright Fire and EMT, spend up to $200 to replace some of the US flags that line the parade route, and $500 for the North Dearborn Pantry. Formal presentation to the Firemen will be at the Bright Festival and the Pantry will receive a check at the July meeting. Last year the Fire Dept and EMT received $1600 so this is a huge increase! Thanks go out to all that worked so hard on this event, our Gold Sponsor, Comcast Business Class, Silver Sponsor, Mansfield Insurance Agency, and our numerous Hole Sponsors.  Watch the video on the golf update page under News! Diane Bender has the list of open shifts for the booth at the festival. We will have a raffle booth and BABA give-aways. Anyone that wants to have their business cards or flyers displayed at the booth, should get them to Diane, Celeste or me or bring them to the next meeting. Part of the proceeds will go towards the purchase of BABA shirts. Contact Diane to volunteer...
