IV. Leadership Team Reports
a.) President –Bebe Kinnett reviewed the latest website stats. There were 226 visitors viewing the Home page most followed by the directory and the Golf outing information.

b.) Vice-President – None

c.) Membership –Diane Bender sent notices out and contacted 14 prospective members.

d.) Treasurer’s report –Dan Cross said there was no financial activity for last month. We have a balance of $1,259.55.

e.) Open issues–The festival. Discussions concerning the freebies that would be handed out during the Bright Firemen’s Festival were discussed along with other activities to be held during the festival by the Bright Area Business Association.

It was decided to forego the dunking booth. Mike asked, “What’s going to draw the people to a booth?” Maybe we should purchase shirts with BABA on them and people would ask about the name. Most people at the festival do not have a business, they are families, people looking for food to eat, and kids. Dan said that we needed something that would encourage the people to “shop the Bright Area businesses.”

Suggestion by Diane and others were to buy prizes and hold a raffle at the festival. Diane volunteered to do the booth, but does not want to ask for donations again. Celeste reminded us that we do have a Bright Area Business Association sign that was made already.

Diane Bender and Bebe Kinnett are the coordinators for the festival booth freebies with budget of $1,000, which was agreed by the members. Chuck recommended having the Que-Bar codes, which points to a BABA business.

The Second open issue was the Golf outing–Greg Gronwall gave us an update on the golf outing which is Monday, May 21, 2012 as of May 11, 2012. We need golfers!!! He announced that Comcast will be the Title Sponsorship. Dale Lutz is sponsoring a foursome for the firemen to play. As of now we have 8 groups. We can contact the area firemen to see if they want to play. Celeste Calvitto, The Beacon and David Lynch, Attorney at Law will sponsor a foursome. Charlie Blankenship, Carousel Cleaners and Bebe Kinnett, Absolute Website Design will sponsor a hole. Paul Kunkel said that the Chamber had reusable signs and we could use the signs if needed. Mike, BMBA Signs, is giving us a great deal on the signs. He is only charging us $11 per sign.

Next, we need volunteers. Perhaps, the volunteers from the Firemen Auxilary is possible and from some from Willie’s.

Raffle/Doorprizes–Diane volunteered to prepare the raffle and goodies bags for the Golf Outing. We, BABA, have agreed to give two (2) One (1) years memberships to BABA. Jim Mansfield has donated the bags for the goody bag. If we need additional bags, Paul, from the Chamber, said they had bags available, too. A reminder that HVL is giving a $5 credit to be spent back at the golf shop. They are also giving the players a “replay” at the HVL to be played in the future. They may bring extra golfers for an additional $29. Joni Hilton has some “men” products for the goody bags, too.

Contact Diane Bender at Logan Supermart, if you have anything for the raffle or doorprize.

A reminder that there will be a “Silent Auction” and Greg will pick up the items and set it up on Friday. Also, they will be able to “Buy it Now!” if the golf wants to items and doesn’t want to keep bidding.

Jim Scott is going to MC the event and will be playing with Jim Mansfield’s foursome.

We have a sign-up sheet for volunteers. As of now, we have five (5) foursomes and need many more.
