The June meeting was held at Merchants Bank in Bright. Bebe Kinnett opened the meeting by stating that Chuck Karaus’s mother recently passed away. Condolences were expressed from everyone in attendance. Dan Cross gave a brief treasurer’s report indicating much account activity in May and June due to the BABA golf outing. It was also reported that we have 61 members paid in full.

Gift basket donations and sponsors were thanked. The sponsorship board is on display at Merchants Bank in Bright. Profits were approximately $7800.
Diane Bender gave updates on the Basket Raffle for the Bright Festival in July. Donations should be given to Diane As soon as possible. BABA will be giving out cozies and pens to festival-goers.
Celeste Calvitto introduced the guest speaker Eric Kranz, Director of the Dearborn County Chamber. Eric has been in the position of Director for about 3 months and has improved and simplified the structure of membership dues and benefits. Eric has a lot of experience with small business development and hopes every small business owner will take advantage of the free consultations offered by the Chamber.
