Harrison Chamber and Harrison Networking Group to partner with BABA in business networking events.
Harrison Networking Group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 9:00 AM, Robert Von Gerds is usually there by 8:30 AM

Corporate Transparency Act Filing (CTA)-Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR)

A review of current events surrounding CTA/BOIR since this issue keeps raising up; conclusion best practice is to complete the form online, it does not take long and the questions asked are minimal. See December meeting minutes for details.

Golf Outing

Amy Fryman thanked Lonny Barnett for his shared files from past years work on the outing.

  • Gage Pace and Amy Fryman report the at the contract with Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course has been signed.
    • Discussion on past events being near break even and this being the primary fund raiser.
    • Needed more teams (max up to 36), we have been less than 20 for several years (18 is min.).
    • Ways to increase through contests at the event.
  • See Gage or Amy about donating gift items, baskets, and swag. Kim Stock will hold baskets and give-aways for the event at the new Friendship State Bank.
    • Suggestions on low cost gift items to get your brand out, but not break the bank:
      • Wine basket
      • Candle basket
      • Gift certificates to local businesses
      • Coffee basket
      • Movie night basket
      • Candy basketGame Day: sports baske
      • 6-Pack basket

  • Flyer needs to be created and shared among member businesses on their Facebook and in their facilities.

BABA will again partner for the 2nd Annual Bright Nights Series 
  • Starting in May and ending in September:
    • Food Trucks 6-10, Music 7-9
  • Three food trucks, all BABA members:
    • Chad Barrett (Quad Que)
    • Carlena Lockhart (Mingles Soft Serve)
    • Vitor Abreu (Vitor’s Bistro)
  • BABA covers the cost of the music and gets 10% of the food proceeds to go into BABA’s charitable giving fund.
  • Discussion about setting up a banner or sign to help promote and encourage more participation.

BABA Meetings

Leadership meetings are held the week before the member meeting on Wednesday 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Friendship State Bank in Bright. All members are welcome to attend.

Tonya: We split the quarters into three categories:

  • Lions Club meeting;
  • Member Spotlight meeting held at member site or Lions Club if necessary; and
  • Lunch meeting, which usually follows an event. We try to host lunches at our member’s place of business so those will be TBD as we see who is renewing their membership for 2025.
